Washer/Automobile Detailer

Cleans new and pre-owned / used cars.  Applies the appropriate aesthetic treatments to prepare new and previously used vehicles for delivery, as well as to the vehicles of after-sales department clientele.  Adheres to the descriptive estimates and work time prescribed by the dealer and/or the manufacturer. 

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties. 
o Washes the outsides of the vehicles, washes the windows inside and outside and wipes the hold-open mechanisms. 
o Applies wax to the bodywork and wipes or buffs the surface with non-abrasive products. 
o Vacuums the vehicles inside to remove dust and debris. 
o Cleans the upholstery, carpets and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaners, applicators and cleaning equipment. 
o Applies revitalizers and preservatives to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot removers. 
o Cleans the engine and engine compartment with special cleaning equipment and various cleaners. 
o Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to ordinary cleaning procedures, using his/her experience and judgment and following the manufacturer's recommendations. 
o Inspects the vehicles to detect any visible defects, such as bumps, scratches and torn upholstery. 
o Refurbishes the engine compartment, carpets and upholstery. 
o Wears appropriate safety gear to protect his/her eyes, hands and body when using any hazardous products. 
o Applies dressing to the tires and the walls of the tires. 
o Ensures that the show room and the vehicles in stock are clean and in good condition at all times. 
o Ensures that the appropriate stickers are displayed in the vehicle windows. 
o Removes any stickers not required from vehicles which have been sold. 
o Brushes the snow off the vehicles in the dealership parking lot, as requested. 
o Re-parks the vehicles in the parking lot, as requested. 
o Installs hub-caps on wheels, as requested. 
o Ensures that the shop is clean and tidy. 
o Uses all tools and equipment carefully. 
o Reports any safety issues to management as soon as possible. 
o Maintains a professional appearance. 
o Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.

Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and maintenance. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.


·        Perform activities such as painting and staining.

·        Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.

·        Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

·        Install appliances and equipment

·        Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, snow removal etc.

·        Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs

·        Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)

·        Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)

·        Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations

·        Report to the General Manager or Dealer Principal issues that are noticed



·       Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position

·       Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems

·       Experience using hand and electrical tools

·       Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

·       Very good communication and interpersonal skills

·       Physical stamina and dexterity

·       High school diploma or equivalent

·       Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required

Body Repair Technician

Repairs body parts and the bodywork of damaged vehicles, based on the manufacturer's and dealer's technical features and standard times. 

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties.
o Repairs vehicles, based on the estimates and the manufacturer's standards. 
o Creates materials list for the required parts needed, according to the estimates, and ensures that the appropriate parts are ordered and received. 
o Possesses all necessary tools to perform the job of Auto Body Technician.
o Prepares vehicles for the bodywork. 
o Notifies management of the need for any additional repairs. 
o Notifies management of any difficulties or problems which risk interfering with the performance of quality work or making it necessary to change the delivery date. 
o Keeps tools and equipment in good functional condition. 
o Maintains any personal protective equipment required for health and safety reasons, wears it, including a respirator, according to the manufacturer's recommendations. 
o Complies with all laws, regulations and bylaws regarding paints, thinners and other hazardous materials.  Notifies management of any departure from these rules. 
o Works with the other employees to repair and prepare the vehicles. 
o Understands, keeps abreast of and observes federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws governing body shop operations and occupational health and safety. 
o Is skilled in applying and working with metal fillers, welding, sanding, metal fabrication, rust remediation, priming and painting. 
o Uses all tools and equipment safely. 
o Maintains a professional appearance. 
o Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.

Apprentice Technician/Lube Technician

Apprenticing technician.  Under the supervision of a shop foreman or other more experienced Technician, he/she must be capable of doing routine maintenance jobs and repairs.  

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties. 
o Performs duties as directed by shop foreman, as necessary. 
o Conducts safety inspections and does general maintenance and minor repairs, as instructed. 
o Performs the work described in the work orders efficiently and accurately, based on the dealer's and manufacturer's standards. 
o Restocks the supplies, at the request of the technicians, the Shop Foreman or after-sales department manager. 
o Reports defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor. 
o Attends training courses and department meetings.  Participates in training programs and attends school and events sponsored by the manufacturer. 
o Uses all tools and equipment carefully. 
o Contacts the parts department to obtain the necessary parts. 
o Stores and labels parts if the work is under warranty, or if the customer asks that this be done. 
o Examines the vehicle assigned to him/her, to determine if additional maintenance or safety work is required or recommended. 
o Contacts the service advisor and/or the foreman as soon as possible if additional work is required, if the work described is unnecessary or if the repairs cannot be done by the established deadline. 
o Documents all work performed and recommended in the work order. 
o Road tests vehicles. 
o Keeps up-to-date on the manufacturer's technical bulletins. 
o Reports defective or poorly functioning equipment to his/her supervisor. 
o Sees to the cleanliness of the customers' cars.  Reports any incident which may affect the appearance or condition of a car to the technical advisor and/or the supervisor, as soon as possible. 
o Ensures that the shop is clean and tidy. 
o Maintains all the tools and manuals belonging to the dealership and takes responsibility for them; returns them to the proper location, in the same condition as when they were received. 
o On request, picks up parts from the parts department. 
o Keeps abreast of federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the removal of hazardous waste, etc.; understands and observes them. 
o Reports any safety issues to management as soon as possible.  
o Maintains a professional appearance. 
o Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions. 

Work as part of a two man Fast Lube Team as necessary and as directed.

Language skills Speak, read and write English. Effort: lift up to 50 LBS, bend, stand, kneel, hands over head.
Knowledge and skills: Technical aptitude, Basic Automotive. Work conditions: cold, Warm, wet, dry
Responsibilities: Change oil, Change tires, Bulbs, batteries, belts. Other requirements: must posses owne basic hand tools.
